WEDNESDAYS’ CULTURAL CIRCLE (WCC), CONCERT OF OF FLUTISTS Tijana Dmitrovic and Aleksandar Jovan Krstic

On Wednesday, October 13, 2019, flutists Tijana Dmitrovic and Aleksandar Jovan Krstic performed as part of the WEDNESDAY CULTURAL CIRCLE (WCC). We had a special opprtounity to enjoy traverso flute, musical duo took us on a journey through baroque music from 17th and 18th century. Beside enjoying the music, we learned interesting facts about the composers and that time.

Tijana Dmitrovic (1989), finished primaty and secondary music school in Kraljevo, flute section. As a student, she won numerous awards in Serbia as well as in Italy. She continued her education with prof. Ljubomir Dimitrijevic at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade. As a soloist, Tijana performed at the Artget Gallery, the SKC, the Ethnographic Museum, the Russian House, the Guarnerius Center for the Fine Arts, the National Theater Museum, etc. She trained with eminent flutists such as: Natasha Paklar, Petar-Lukas Graf, Janos Balint, Laura Levai-Askin. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Flute Consortium Jakov Srejovic led by Professor Ljuba Dimitrijevic.
In 2019 she completes her master studies in chamber music at the Faculty of Music, in the class of prof. Tea Dimitrijevic, where she perfected her skills in the field of baroque music on traverso flute with Frederick Has, Otavian Tenerani, A.M. Dragosic, Susan Scholz, Iva Milosevic, as well as at the Baroque Academy in Austria with Claire Genwayne, whose scholarship she received for the following year.

Aleksandar Jovan Krstić graduated from the primary music school in Ruma (1989) and the middle music school “Josip Slavenski” in Belgrade, in the class of Professor Ljubomir Dimitrijevic. He completed his basic and master studies at FMU in the class of Miomir Simonović. He plays in several ensembles and bands and has released several albums and singles with various artists. Aleksandar Jovan collaborated with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra on several projects. He has performed many concerts at festivals at home and abroad. He is involved in early music, ethno and jazz. He is currently studying film directing and is on 4th year. He has a few movie projects behind him.
