Exploring the association of basic personality dimensions, patterns of emotional attachment in the primary family, and the perceived quality of partnering with depression associated with child birth. The research has made a significant contribution to understanding the etiology as well as the clinical and prognostic understanding of peripartal depression. Proven hypotheses can underlie the development of more modern and effective therapeutic interventions and preventative strategies in the field of perinatal psychiatry.
