Professional Council

Professional Council
Professional Council is an advisory body to the Director and the Management Board.
Professional Council consists of five members.
Members of the Professional Council are health care professionals with university education, appointed by the Director at the proposal of the Institute’s organizational units.
IMH Head Nurse also takes part in the work of the Professional Council.
IMH Director cannot be a member of the Professional Council.
Professional Council convenes at least once in 30 days.
 
Responsibilities of the Professional Council include:
– to consider and make decisions related to professional activities of the Institute;
– to propose a program for professional activities and professional development of the Institute;
– to propose a plan for advanced professional development of health care workers and associates;
– to propose a plan for the promotion of quality of professional activities at the Institute;
– to monitor and organize implementation of the internal quality control of professional activities at the Institute;
– to nominate members of the Management and Supervisory Boards to the founder from the ranks of Institute employees;
– to nominate members of the Ethics Committee to the Director;
– to adopt its own Rules of Procedure;
– to conduct other activities stipulated by the law.

Professional Board
Professional Board of the Institute is a professional body that considers and adopts professional views and doctrines.
Views, opinions and suggestions of the Professional Board are submitted to the Director in a written form.
Professional Board consists of Assistant Director, Heads of organizational units and Head Nurse of the Institute.
Professional Board of the Institute convenes once a week.
Meetings of the Professional Board are convened and chaired by the Director of the Institute.
Professional Board adopts its own Rules of Procedure.
Quality Promotion Committee
Quality Promotion Committee is a professional body focusing on constant promotion of the quality of health care provided at the Institute.
The Committee adopts the annual control program to test the quality of professional work at the Institute.
The Committee is appointed by the Director of the Institute at the proposal of the professional Council.
The Committee consists of five members.

Internal Control System
The internal control system is established at the Institute by organizing a special Internal Controller Service for all transactions involving revenue and expense accounts, financial resources and obligations accounts, and funding accounts, as well as management of the state property.
The internal control system aims to ensure implementation of the laws, regulations, rules and procedures, successful operation, economical, efficient and purposeful use of resources, protection of resources and investments against losses, including fraud, irregularity or corruption, integrity and reliability of information, accounts and data.
Internal controllers report directly to the Director of the Institute, and the report on internal control activities is submitted to the Management Board at least two times a year.
Procedures and methods of internal control at the Institute comply with provisions of the law regulating the budget system, as well as bylaws regulating the implementation of the law.
By the decision of the Director of the Institute, Ljiljana Dupor has been appointed as internal controller to the Institute.
 
Public Procurement Committee
The responsibility of the Committee is to conduct public procurement procedures in accordance with the Law on Public Procurement.

Property and Personal Safety Committee
The responsibility of the Committee is to protect the safety of property and individuals, to monitor and draw attention to any phenomena that could potentially endanger the safety of property and individuals, and propose measures to ensure complete safety of property and individuals.
Members of the Property and Personal Safety Committee are:

Committee for Preparation and Monitoring of the Rationalization Program
The responsibility of the Committee is to monitor the implementation of the Institute’s rationalization program, implementation of measures aimed at reducing the costs of health services and rational operation of the Institute as a whole, as well as to prepare quarterly analyses of implementation of the rationalization program.
 
Members of the Committee are:
